New Pattern Release!

Introducing the Felix Jacket! Another super versatile pattern that has loads of style options, cup sizes, and of course, new techniques for you to add to your stable of sewing skills!

The Felix Jacket is an open-front, unlined jacket, but it can be lined if desired. It has a fitted, two-piece sleeve with optional cuffs, and has grouped cup sizes which eliminate the need for a full bust adjustment. It can be made in three versions: Bolero, mid-thigh or duster length, with or without sleeves.

Here, the Felix Jacket is worn with the Hannah Culottes and Eva Tee. The bustiers are made from an Orange Lingerie Esplanade bra pattern.

  1. Wool Mid length with blanket stitching, cuffs, fold-over pockets and a fringed hem.

  2. Sleeveless bolero made from an upcycled bedspread, bound edges, angled pockets and worked back with Sashiko stitching.

  3. Heavy linen bolero, no cuffs, bound edges and square pockets.

  4. Duster length silk tweed with bound edges, cuffs and lined pockets.

  5. Recycled leather from a couch, lined, bound edges, open-end zip, no cuffs and angled pockets.

The jacket has optional edge finishes - if you are feeling fancy, learn how to make a Chanel style trim! You can also bind the edges, overlock, fringe or blanket stitch - the options are endless!

Included in the instructions is the technique for making continuos bias binding - and even a clcualtor to work out how much fabric you need for the amount of bias you require.

  1. Boiled wool with overlocked edges.

  2. Fancy Chanel style trim on silk noil.

The instructions come with video links to assist your sewing journey, so this pattern is suitable for beginners who like having company, or experienced sewers who would like to learn industry techniques.

I designed this jacket to go with the Hannah Culottes, which are wide-leg trousers. The culottes feature a self-faced high waist with optional button details on the front pleat and a center back zip. The cut-away pockets cleverly flatten the belly for a smooth finish. But ths jacket also looks great with the Phoebe Pockets, or jeans.

  2. Self drafted jeans and Eva Tee.

  3. Phoebe Pockets and Eva Tee.

Style options for the Hannah Culottes include long, mid-calf and shorts length in three body types. The instructions come with a video link sew-along and include 10 True Fit Stories to help with alterations to fit your body.

  2. Low triangle

  3. High Triangle

Because this jacket looks so good with the #hannahculottes and #corablouse, all three patterns will be on sale for the first month of release of the #felixjacket!
